This EP sounds like the Matt Costa you expect

I loved Matt's first three albums, but his 4th release, the self-titled Matt Costa, has always seemed a little flat to me. I'm all for exploring new sounds, which Matt is known to do on each album, but the flow and sound of the record just never resonated with me. The good news is that this EP sounds like what you want from Matt: folksy and mellow. While i enjoy the instrumentals on the EP, Ark Song is the standout track. I'm hoping this sound continues into his next full length release.

Delightfully New, Yet With the Usual Costa Flair!

Matt Costa has a habit of changing his sound up with almost every release he has, sometimes more than others. And while this has more of a "Songs We Sing" vibe, it's still refreshing and new. The music is interesting enough to actively listen to yet simple enough to lounge out to. Definitely a new take on his music, but also not one that anybody will want to miss! Bravo, sir! You never cease to impress me!
