EDITORS’ NOTES

Barbra calls on some famous friends for a charming take on Broadway standards. And as ever with the singer/songwriter/actress/icon, there’s no little wit and mischief. She’s aided and abetted by a glittering (and marvelously diverse) supporting cast who often engage in warm pre-song prattle—the gentle bickering with Melissa McCarthy on “Anything You Can Do,” for example, is a delight.

Lack of ideas…!

This must be an album that not only she can sing better but more she lacks any idea to put out an original album with a concept ever again. They can repackage all the "broadway albums” “movie albums” etc and call it The broadway/Movie Gimmick…how to shine on a glorious past. NEW IDEAS! Show your talents. Sing and write something original.

Very emotional

I've seen A CHORUS LINE many times and heard AT THE BALLET sung by many talented women, and some men. Barbra Streisand has done a marvelous job in bringing a new emotional life to her version with Anne and Daisy. It brought tears to my eyes. Anyone who still burns with the inner flame of performing will be touched by this rendition. A very fitting opening song to a highly anticipated collection of Broadway songs.

Barbra - no words needed.

Just saw the amazing Babs in concert in Brooklyn - it was magical, enchanting, amazing and worth the trip to the East Coast. Her duet with Patrick Wilson - in person at the Barclay Center - I was speechless. Can't wait to get this latest work from her.
