The soundtrack to Iron Maiden's concert film En Vivo! captures the veteran metal band in top form, illustrating why it continues to be a top concert draw and retains one of the most devoted fan bases in all of modern music. The 50,000-strong audience can be heard adding vocal power to most songs, while singer Bruce Dickinson shows no signs of age as he works his way through the Maiden catalog. Among the many highlights are "Running Free" from Iron Maiden's 1980 self-titled debut album, "The Trooper" from 1983's Piece of Mind, "The Wicker Man" and "Blood Brothers" from 2000's Brave New World, and five tracks from 2010's The Final Frontier. Classic anthems such as "2 Minutes to Midnight," "The Number of the Beast," and "Hallowed Be Thy Name" make their appearances to thunderous applause. However, many of the lesser-known songs sound as vital and energetic as the crowd-pleasers. It's a good sign for Maiden's continued artistic renaissance.
