Stirring, beautiful, and haunting

Having recently attended the world premiere of "Eminent Domain" (for which this soundtrack was created), I can honestly say that the composer, Michael Campbell, couldn't have created a more beautiful, stirring, powerful body of work to accompany a moving and thought-provoking play. Campbell's music soars, thunders, and pulses. A riveting combination of roaring Scottish clan music, hymns in ode to the beautiful and merciless Midwestern landscape, and country twang masterfully lets listeners explore the world of Laura Leininger-Campbell's "Eminent Domain." In the end, you should read the play and listen to the soundtrack while drinking a strongly brewed tea during a rainstorm. Better yet, go see the production. But even if you can't, just have a listen to these tunes. If you adored Christopher Young's score to "The Shipping News," you won't be able to get enough of this soundtrack!
