What we been waiting for

With a flavorful street sound, a versatile soneo, and a nasal tone reminiscing of Victor Manuelle, Herman Oliviera has brought the original "mazacote gordo" back to the table. His sound, on point as the premier soneros he delineates in "Heredero", is what the Salsero's from the barrio are been waiting for. Well crafted, superbly produced, with an accurate deliverance, Herman's work is a "must have" for those of us who are craving the essence of what Salsa was in the 70's, 80's, and 90's.

Sonero…De La Raiz A La Mata!

Herman Olivera is one of the finest Soneros of his generation. He came up through the hard knocks of Andy Gonzalez and Manny Oquendo's Conjunto Libre. By the way, any serious Salsa Collector must have Conjunto Libre in their collection. Recorded in Venezuela with top notch musicians and arrangers, Herman Olivera effortlessly improvises over the music and coros with no hesitation. The brother is a straight up Sonero with Corazan, Sentimiento y Pura Calle. There are no watered down anemic tracks on this album. Do yourself a favor and purchase this album with your eyes closed and check out Herman Olivera in a Live performance and you will see what I mean. One of the best releases of the year….Pa’ Lante Herman.
