Excellent

Many may think this is bad quality. It is actually recording's of John Philip Sousa conducting his own band. This is history and is an excellent example of how his marches should sound.

history lesson

Keep in mind that these are legit recordings of the infamouse Sousa and while the quality seems horrible, this was the most blue-ray HD they had at the time, especially considering that even movies of the time were silent. the musicians you hear in the recordings have been dead for +80 years and these recordings are even older.

Properly understood, this is a historical album...

...and will include more than a few "vintage" recordings. But, that said, Sousa's recording of the Washington Post March is worth the price of the entire album. It's probably the best march ever written, and this is among the best ever recorded.
