A deep, relaxing album. Saddened that such a great artist is gone. I whole heartedly recommend buying this album.

His best, a masterpiece.

This is Eliot Smith at his best, most balanced instrumentation with quality of songwriting, lyrics, and performances under recording. I would recommend anyone new to him to listen to this album first. It really is a tragedy that he died so young. We are lucky we have music such as this he left behind before departing. An essential singer-songwriter indie type genre of an album where his vocals and picking and strumming on guitar are both very delicate and thin; really fits the music to perfect effect. Light, but perfect lo-fi type beatles influences instrumentation. He plays unique chords and has interesting an interesting way in which he structures his songs. He was truly one of a kind. Honestly, if you like good music, you will like this album. Check it out, and enjoy!
