The first two singles are solid and I can already tell this album is going to be one of their best. Soli Deo Gloria!

WATG is one of the few bands labeled as rock that has breakdowns akin to that of metalcore (in fact WATG got me into metal). It really sets them apart and gives them a unique sound. My only complaint about this band as a whole is that Nick Detty has perhaps one of the best upper octave screams in the genre right now but it seems that most of the songs are more lenient to rock than the unclean vocals. It would be nice if there were some more heavy songs such as “Wake Up”, “Anathema”, “Rest”, “The Cure”, and “Asleep”. I’m not saying they’ve gone too soft, in fact all their recent albums have been that way. Although it is nice to be the gray area between metal and rock, there do need to be some songs that are all-heavy and all-calm. I love what this band is doing with the Christian message and hopefully they don’t shut away from that.
