MacKenzie Porter may be a newcomer to country fans outside her native Canada, but the singer-songwriter is already a star there, having landed a few No. 1 songs on Canadian country radio and notched three nominations at the 2020 CCMA Awards. Drinkin' Songs: The Collection marks her first EP for Nashville juggernaut Big Loud Records and her proper introduction to Music Row. Porter worked with powerhouse producer Joey Moi (Florida Georgia Line, Morgan Wallen) to craft the EP, which is anchored by its infectious title track. "Drinkin' Songs" features the canny melodicism and clever wordplay of Fearless-era Taylor Swift while incorporating the poppy production and anthemic chorus of today's radio smashes.
