Great album

I bought this on one of the PBS telecasts, and I have never been disappointed. With a group of Springsteen, Costello, Jackson Brown, K.D. Lang, Jennifer Warren, et.al cutting some distinctly non-'50's or '60's riffs, the jamming is vibrant and energetic. The arrangement of Go, Go, Go (Movin' on Down the Line) is now one of my all time favorite songs by anybody, anywhere. Awhile back I was undergoing some sports therapy for tennis elbow, and I brought the CD in for a session. Young, old, or middle aged; everybody was rockin'! You've never heard Pretty Woman like this. At this price, it's a steal!

If only I could have seen this concert live ...

This is absolutely the best live album I have ever heard. Orbison is stunning. His voice had lost none of its power and his singing is the best ever in rock and roll. It is like opera ... but much better! Other rock and rollers should listen to this man's phrasing! I see one complaint about the sound quality. I think this reviewer had to be on drugs. The sound is wonderful. The iTunes review complains that the live performances are too true to the original recordings. Again, not true. The original recordings pale compared to these live performances. The band is incredible. The arrangements are wonderful. I can find nothing to complain about with this album. Get it. Then get the DVD. To see and realize that this was truly live is an incredible thing. If you like rock and roll, your collection must include this one!

Black & White Night

This album is the finest of its genre I have ever heard. Orbison is at his absolute best, and the musicians surrounding him only make him better. Viewing the HBO special adds another dimension to this work and is highly recommended as well. Too bad Orbison did not live much longer to continue his unique, and great, music.
