10 Songs, 38 Minutes

EDITORS’ NOTES

In preparation of his seventh studio album, Philadelphia singer-songwriter Amos Lee worked with nonprofit organizations Musicians On Call and Melodic Caring Project to play music bedside to hospital patients battling serious illnesses. The experience deeply affected him and inspired My New Moon. But this is not a somber exercise; Lee gives each song a rocking, dignified treatment. “Don’t Give a Damn Anymore” defiantly spits in the face of the grim reaper, while tracks like “No More Darkness, No More Light,” “Hang On, Hang On,” and “Don’t Fade Away” process loss, hope, and healing. My New Moon replenishes the soul, showing how power and perseverance manifest through music.

Quality

Distorted vocals and track.... time for a new mastering engineer... Amos deserves better... hopefully they'll fix it before album comes out... good song though...

No question

You don't need a sample, it's Amos Lee! Every song on every album has been a concentration of soul and spirt, pure and undeniable...

Overdriven Sound

Lee's music is good and consistant, however the mastering of this CD is terrible. All distorted. Hopefully the actual CD is not distorted.
I have been noticing this is happening more and more on iTunes...disappointing. They better do a better job of quality control.
The 3 stars is a reflection of the quality not Amos Lee's music.
