There are many great moments on this 4x4 ride through the urban jungle. The Jungle Brothers-Mike G, Afrika Baby Bambaataa, and DJ Sammy B-emerged in 1988 with a genre-bending album Straight Out the Jungle that displayed the experimental influences of dance music, especially house. But this, their second release, captures the Brothers at their creative peak. It's filled with Native Tongue ideology and classic tracks such as "Beyond This World," "J. Beez Comin' Through," "Feelin' Alright." Released in 1989, Forces of Nature may be the last great rap album of the '80s, and it remains potent today.
