Best Doctor Who Music Ever!

This soundtrack for the New Series of Doctor Who is a beautiful work by Murray Gold! It contains several different themes from the television series. It's a must-have for any Doctor Who fan out there! I think the best tracks on this album are:
The Doctor's Theme, Song for Ten, The Face of Boe, Madame de pompadour, and Doomsday (but I really LOVE them all!)

Amazing soundtrack for an amazing show!

Often times, it's the music that can make or break a television series. It helps create the appropriate mood and can enhance the visual effects of the show. This soundtrack is a wonderful example of how the background music adds flavor and uniqueness to the Doctor Who series. It is melodic and beautifully orchestrated. Track 3 (The Doctor's Theme) is a perfect example of how the mystery and mystical nature of this recent incarnation of the Doctor is captured by the mysterous and almost hypnotic vocal work in this piece. Overall, great album.

These tracks highlight the (heretofore to the US) unknown talents of Murray Gold, who has a great hand for lending what is still quite the quirky Brit sci-fi classic, even in its regeneration, a lot of gravitas and musical style.

Only drawback? It's an iTunes gripe..They need to get to the point where the liner notes are available to view as part of the purchase of the whole album. I'll still probably go out and buy the physical jewel box so I can have the liner notes and pictures.
