Five stars because I bought it

I did a little research in light of Monkeynaut's review and the duo did indeed record these songs later in their career; however, why poo poo it? I consider it a grower--I don't listen to the thump-thump rhythm and think, "I've got to go tell my friends" but I don't have any other Django. If you're willing to delve into his deeper catalog go ahead but if you're lazy like I am, get this. You'll know some of the tunes and chances are you'll like them

Not a great representation of Django

I was disappointed in this album. It lacks the spark and fire of other works. This seems to be a later work and the band backing Grappelli and Reinhardt doesn't include Django's brother. Reinhardt's guitar work isn't as flashy or inspired as on his early works. Django and Stephane are awesome musicians but if you're a fan or if you're discovering them for the first time please look for early recordings, you won't be sorry.
