EDITORS’ NOTES
Detroit's Moodymann is best known for his house productions, but this lush, consistently surprising DJ mix demonstrates his astonishing range as a selector, zigzagging through soul, hip-hop, disco, and even folk. The blend from Daniel Bortz's deep house cut "Cuz You're the One" into José González's plaintive "Remain" is typical of his inspired mixture of moods and modes. He doesn't scrimp on kicking club cuts, including tunes from Noir & Haze and MARCELLUS PITTMAN, but with so much attention to melody, atmosphere, and emotion, the prevailing vibe is easy like Sunday morning.

Ratings and Reviews
This is Amazing
This is a rare gem of a mix compilation. Listening to the iTunes samples it doesn’t feel like it would work, but it unbelievably does work. I still don’t know how he made it work so well, but it does.
Well done.
FANTASTIC.
Great harmony of old school funk and electronica...diversity of the tracks is sublime..
Go Beyond Pitchfork...
Moodymann has made better stuff. But hey, that didn't get BNM did it?
