Editors’ Notes Rodrigo Sánchez and Gabriela Quintero grew up in Mexico City and mastered their acoustic flamenco-metal guitar style—part Paco de Lucia, part Jimmy Page—while busking in Ireland. Rodrigo y Gabriela play fleet-fingered and briskly chorded instrumental duets punctuated percussively by hands on hollow-bodies. And while instrumentals like the reggae-tinged "Tamacun" and Django-jazzy "Ixtaba" convey pure Mexican magic, cover versions of Zeppelin's "Stairway to Heaven" and Metallica's "Orion" tap into universal head-banging truths.
