Ratings and Reviews
Totally non-non triumphant
Late comer to this genre of rock but I really like it. I thought Indigo Meadow was great. Then I got Passover and it was awesome. Many of the lyrics in both albums are inspirational. I didn't think that any of their albums, old or new, could top those two but they did it. This is music I can listen to over and over. A lot of real thought goes into their albums.
Too Old
I'm getting too old for this kind of stuff - but can't help it - Love the Black Angels!
Neopsychedlic to its core
Definately much more energetic than some previous albums. Deep bass, cunning reverbs and sharp snares meet up perfectly, just like you'd expect from any Angel release. Their gradual rise in popularity has not stopped them from sourcing their originality, or made them lean to the increasingly disturbing "pop culture". There is no doubt that they will keep grinding away at it, hopefully making more and better tunes just like these.
