EDITORS’ NOTES
Hits like “Sherry,” “Let’s Hang On,” “Walk Like a Man,” and “Big Girls Don’t Cry” match the Four Seasons’ glorious vocalizing with unstoppable drum-driven rhythm tracks. Valli dives into the material with real sensitivity, connecting with the romantic pathos of “Dawn (Go Away),” “Rag Doll,” and similar tunes, animating each lyric with his airborne falsetto.

Ratings and Reviews
Can't get those "Jersey Boys" out of my head
I vaguely recalled a couple of T4S tunes from my youth, but it was seeing the fabulous new Broadway show "Jersey Boys" that sent me to the originals (though I look forward to the release of the cast album). The one song that isn't in the show is "Ronnie" which, for some reason, is the song I most remember. Anyway, this is great anthology.
So many great songs
I have never been a huge fan of Frankie Vallie and the Four Seasons before (due to lack of exposure I guess), but I am now.
I went to the Music Store to get "Sherry" because my wife and I started singing it to our 7-year old. When I saw the album song list, I thought I would buy several songs, then I said, "what the heck, I'll just get the album". Out of the 20 songs, I would rate 12 of them 3 stars or higher (several 4s and 5s). Some of the tunes (like "Who Loves You") I didn't realize were even done by Frankie and the 4. There are tons of songs you will recognize if you are 30+.
While some of the tunes are simple, old-fashioned fun, many of them are incredibly intricate arrangements (e.g. the horn parts in "Can't Take My Eyes off of You"). The singers and the backing band members are excellent musicians who give excellent performances on these tunes.
I found the sound/recording quality to be excellent as well. I highly recommend this album.
1963!
Where did the years go? I graduated from military school in 1963 and these songs make me feel young again. You'll never get more for your money. Just hit, after hit, after hit.
