EDITORS’ NOTES

Dale Ann Bradley’s self-titled album anoints the 20-year mark of the Kentucky bluegrass maven’s remarkable career, and you can hear all those years of experience in her twangy, crooning voice. She commands an a cappella gospel hymn on "Stand by Me," waxes nostalgic for her roots on "Going Back to Kentucky," and tears into a wrecked-romance duet with Vince Gill on "I'll Just Go Away," framing each with traditional bluegrass instrumentation and stunning emotional nuance.
