This album is special

I don’t review much because usually music just washes over me, but there is something about the combination of Cynthia Erivo, Oliver Tompsett and Scott Alan and the stories they are telling that make this album a must-have. Highly recommended.

Once in a lifetime

I don't really know how to say this. As a cabaret singer, I am always looking for new story songs. Mr. Alan's talent is simply stunning. I heard him in New York a few years ago and it was musical love at first note. His music is not a simple cabaret. This is what would happen if my journal ever met my piano. His music is lush, fluid, and breathtaking. With that said, his music supports some of most incredible lyrics I have ever heard. He bares his soul in every song and allows you to join him in the journey.
