On his third album, Dustin Lynch moves beyond the big ballads and bad-boy rockers that helped define his first couple albums. Here, Lynch offers a wide-ranging set of rock- and R&B-influenced country tunes (about half of which he wrote himself) that express a wide spectrum of emotions. There’s plenty of fun, clever writing on guitar-driven sing-alongs like “I Wish You Were Beer” and “Party Song,” but the songs that hit the hardest are catchy midtempo tracks like “Small Town Boy” and “New Girl."
