11 Songs, 37 Minutes

EDITORS’ NOTES

On their long-awaited second album, Science City, Kolkata duo Parekh & Singh experience a coming of age, leading to a sugary and playful pop record with a palette of different moods. On the spacey "Summer Skin”, Parekh experiences an epiphany when he sings, "Time's a waste of life.” Their songs are both melancholic ("One Hundred Shadows") and reflective (“Surgeon”), and they offer plenty of meditations on relationships (“Hello” and "Be Something").

The album I’ve been waiting for

Really great album. Well-produced, catchy songs. If you like good indie pop (Jens Lekman, kings of convenience, etc.) you’ll like this.
