Joe Satriani's Best Album!

It's amazing that in 1998, over a decade after debut, with many popular songs and albums under his belt, Satriani could create his best work. As an instrumental guitarist album, this has got to be one of the best created, right alongside Joe Pass "Virtuoso" and Vai's "Passion and Warfare". I'll also include Liquid Tension Experiment because Petrucci's playing is remarkable, although that is not strictly a guitarist album.
Satch's one drawback on his early albums like "Surfing" may have been his slightly thin, over-compressed tone. This album fixes all that with the deepest, most monsterous tone he's had on record.
It's one of those albums that is great to listen to staring at the night sky, laying on the hood of car. Maybe you'll find Satriani's home planet-He's seriously an Alien.
This is great to listen to

Satrianis Best!

My personal favorite from Satch. It encorporates EVERYTHING!! His blazing scales runes, amazing sweeps, pedal effects galore, dive bombs and crazy harmonics...all while maintaing unbelievable musical harmony. Up In the Sky and Crystal Planet just blow me away everytime I hear it. Satch has an awsome and one of a kind guitar tone in this CD also. If your into Dream Theater, Vai, and all the virtuosos...then give this a try. Its an excellent listen, something refreshing in the more and more mundane world of rock.

MOST TALENTED GUITARIST IN THE WORLD

I can't believe that not one person wrote a review about joe. He is so talented and all of his songs rock! Trust me, he is much better than any of this new pop and hip hop garbage that ppl think are good. Also, he is much better than any rock band i know.
