"Crossroads" is not Tracy Chapman's classic debut but it can stand up against that album just as strong. This album has some of Tracy's most intimate and passionate songs of her career. "This Time" and "Be Careful of My Heart" are the soundtrack of a heartbroken Friday night- hurt, strong and angry, all at the same time. The melancholy "Bridges" is the showpiece of this set- a song with insightful lyrics and an overall feel that will drive you to drink.

All songs on "Crossroads" stand alone as good songs. The set is not as cohesive as her debut but a nice batch of songs from a genius songwriter.

All That I Have... is My Tracy

Crossroads is great, and I highly recommend it to any Tracy lover whether you've known her for awhile now or are just starting to uncover the beauty within her music. Highlights: Crossroads, Subcity, and All That You Have Is Your Soul. Enjoy and travel to a new world with Tracy's incredibly soothing voice.

Voice you don't forget

I remember when I was little my dad listened to this album a lot. Although I'm just a teenager now and I'm "supposed to" listen to Katy Perry and stuff, I just can't help it but go back Tracy Chapman. I guess her voice is the kind that you don't forget.
