EDITORS’ NOTES

Gwyneth Paltrow as a Nashville country music star may seem like a hard sell but just listen to the opening title track to the 2010 movie Country Strong, where she nails a convincing drawl and holds down soaring choruses without the need for Auto-Tune effects. Chris Young and Patty Loveless follow her with the endearing little duet “Love Don’t Let Me Down” before Sara Evans delivers the emotional “A Little Bit Stronger.”

They NEED Garrett Hedlund and Leighton Meester's Version of Give in to me!!!!

This is great but...

I really wish they would have released Leighton and Garrett's duet of "Give Into Me". It's my favorite song from the movie, and as much as the Faith Hill version is lovely, they had so much chemistry on that track. And Leighton's voice on it was wonderfully raw and beautiful.

Disappointed

I really like this album and I think the songs are well written, but I have to admit I am a little disappointed in the decision to remake some of the songs used in the movie. Don't get me wrong, I love Faith Hill, but the fact that they took a wonderful duet between Leighton and Garrett and made it a power ballad for Faith is a disservice to the song. I wish that we had the option of purchasing the versions used in the movie.
