An EXCELLENT Contribution to the Percussive Repertoire

Daniel Heagney's album, "Collision," accomplishes 2 very important things. First, it offers pieces that are less well known in the percussion world, therefore introducing listeners everywhere to substantial music by substantial composers, from Steve Mackey's "See Ya Thursday" to Peter Klatzow's new "Etudes for Marimba." Even better, if you were learning any these pieces and you were searching for a great reference recording, you've got one now! Secondly, it offers a breathtaking musical interpretation of each of these pieces in a sound quality that borderlines unreal. A substantial contribution from a substantial young artist, "Collision" is the must-own new album, if you are a percussionist. Keep an eye on Daniel; he's going places. I cannot recommend this album enough.
