why would you review this compilation if you were not looking for a ferrante & teicher album? they have a pretty distinct style, so one quick sample of any of their songs would tell you if its what you're looking for or not. makes no sense to me!
anyway this is a good compilation of some of their work. they were an impressive duo with a very 60's lounge/piano thing going on. i like to play this stuff at cocktail parties ;)
Brings back such good memories!
Like a warm flood of memories of a forgotten time. Excellent!
Too Good to be Forgotten...
Ferrante & Teicher, almost forgotten in today's prepackaged, homogenized world, are far too talented and influential to be ignored. Aside from pioneering a unique sound, they substantially influenced music beginning in the 50's. While too little of their extensive catalog is presently available, this collection gives listeners a good introduction to their more mainstream sound. A few of their most popular hits may be found sprinkled throughtout iTunes and certainly are worth seeking out.
