With her big, bold voice and knack for writing soulful pop hits, teenage phenomenon Ella Henderson turns out a very promising debut. Henderson, who first came to fame on the UK version of The X Factor, delivers a set that’s filled with brilliant singing and powerful, no-nonsense personality. The British singer cowrote all but one of the tracks here, including the slow-burning, soul-soaked "Hard Work" and the panoramic hit single “Ghosts” (which was a UK smash in the months before the album was released). Henderson really shines when she soars over the thundering drums on her inspiring pop epic “Glow."
