First listen notes

Right Place Right Time

Love opening song / it's speed, the band is perfectly tight, this album opens up by demonstrating exceptional skills, virtuosity all around and it just gets better.
Solid throughout - this album will be a favorite of mine for a long time. A live show would draw some serious crowds.
If you love music, regardless of style, this album is filled with hard work, years of fine-tuning skills on top of innate musical talent all around.
I personally appreciate crisp and deliberate keys, found throughout, add well placed and played brass, stellar vocals in Mike Ledbetter especially on Down Home Girl - this one will tug your insides like nothing else- this guy is amazing. Right on each and every note, and of course Mike Welch is phenomenal. What an amazing combination. I don't know how Mike Welch can get any better and yet there he goes!
I Can't Please You, Down Home Girl, I Am Going to Move to Another Country, Big Mama are some highlights but every single one of these tunes will keep you coming back

Rare Chicago blues amidst immitators

Other than Buddy Guy and a few others out there, there isn’t much legit soulful Chicago blues being recorded. This album is great! Buy, download and then really listen!
