While Burning Bridges is Bon Jovi's first LP made without founding guitarist Richie Sambora, his presence is still felt in the major-key hook of “Saturday Night Gave Me Sunday Morning,” an emotional power-rocker that he cowrote. But it’s on the muscly “Who Would You Die For” and the stomping “We Don’t Run” that the band brings the most heat: On the latter, Jon Bon Jovi belts out his verses with shivering intensity, while producer John Shanks turns in the album’s most scorching guitar solo.
