Calambre

Argentina-born and Barcelona-based, Nancy Peluso doesn’t conform to any one particular genre or style on her electrifying debut album. Balancing her hip-hop foundation with pop appeal, Calambre showcases her dynamic rap skills as much as it reveals her alt-R&B aptitude. Bass-bin shakers like “SANA SANA” coexist with the bubblier “TRÍO,” with the tempo jumping for the funky workout “SUGGA” and slowing for the confidently Ruff Ryders-reminiscent “BUSINESS WOMAN.” A standout in this already diverse mix, “BUENOS AIRES” slips into an oh-so-comfortable neo-soul groove as it soundtracks a shifting series of homebound thoughts and feelings.
