Break The Curse

Break The Curse

It’s unclear what curse Lil Dre6o is looking to break, but it’s clear the spell isn’t related to the rapper’s output. Break the Curse marks the prolific spitter’s third project from 2024 alone, following Say What? and Taking It There 2, plus three more full-lengths from 2023. Though Dre6o first started dropping music in 2021, he’s already got nine projects under his belt. Break the Curse, though superstitious in name, confirms that there’s no smoke and mirrors with Dre6o’s consistency. On opener “So Caught Up,” he tries to atone for prior mistakes, rapping: “Did a lot of bad shit, that don’t make me a bad person.” Elsewhere, like on “Never Forget About Me,” he’s equally assured. Spitting over a hypnotic vocal sample and shuffling drums, he raps about a former love, remarkably mature in his assessment of the relationship: “All the good times that we shared, I’ll never forget about ’em.”
