Bop City, the debut album from pointedly mysterious trio Terror Jr, is a blast of slick, futuristic dream pop that makes vocalist Lisa Vitale’s darkest lyrics sound bubbly. “3 Strikes” flirts with the outer limits of vocal processing for a bouncy tribute to a one-night stand, while “Come First” is a proud ode to self-reliance that boldly experiments with minimalist production, using a beat that’s little more than sparkly synths with a hint of trap snare.
