"We Were Giants"

I think this is my favorite song. Haunting. I wish you guys were still making beautiful music together...

I was a big fan of the debut album and even found much to like about Tales From Terra Firma, but literally the ONLY song I listen to on this album is The Road You Didn’t Take. I don’t know, maybe I had too high of expectations. I hope their next endeavor is more like their early stuff

it wants to be much bigger than it is

The music on the debut album was beautifully arranged, well thought through, humble, with great vocals and lyrics. It felt quite direct, simple, but deep. When the second album came out, I found myself asking if that is a different band, except that the lead vocal again was so recognizable that it had to be the same group. However, the song writing and everything around it was uninspired. Now, with the third album coming out, this band is at its lowest level. What are all the enthusiastic reviews in presumably serious media based on? Have you ever listened to the first album? This sound like a band that is becoming too famous too quickly. All the good ideas where spent on the first few songs though and nothing’s left it seems than more voluptuous production with more surround instrumentation and no clear storyline here. Sad, since the band was really talented. May the masses be pleased.
