EDITORS’ NOTES

The first Bobby Tarantino mixtape was something of curveball for fans of Logic's 2015 breakout, The Incredible True Story. This latest iteration furthers the original's gleeful nihilism while maintaining the rapper's dedication to technically proficient MCing. Songs like “Wassup” and the Marshmello collab ”Everyday” showcase his knack for different flows and melodies, while guests like Wiz Khalifa and 2 Chainz are loyal to the tape’s more turnt sensibility. Logic may be forthright about the luxuries that success has brought him, but the wisdom is never far: “If they tell you money make you better than others, somebody lied!”

Parental Advisory: Explicit Lyrics. Apple Digital Master

Y'all lying if you say your ear drums aren't sopping wet after hearing some of this good good

Same garbage.

Typical rap garbage. Takes no talent. Rap and hippity hop ruined music. No knowledge of music or theory, just buy a computer, make up (steal) some monotonous beats with recorded toy drums, say the n word often (because we don’t know you’re black) and have the same dumb story every rap song has. Autotune, autocrap.

Hmm.. it ain't bad BUT

I have such a love/hate relationship with Logic..and I know I'm not the only one that feels that way about him. First time I heard him was on Young, Broke, & Infamous at the end of 2010. I was excited to hear more from this "new artist." Then the Young Sinatra tapes starting dropping and I LOVED them. He was one of my top rappers from 2012-14. Under Pressure dropped, first album, thought it was terrific. Felt like the tapes. After Under Pressure though, I feel like there's just something missing. The beats are too repetitive, his lyrics honestly seem a little recycled from track to track. Incredible True Story and Everybody weren't too bad. But Bobby Tarantino 1 felt such a step back...It's 2018, I get it. Artists change and evolve. But I don't know...some of these tracks are just not Logic.
