Where is the theme song?

Where is all the really good music from the show?

In putting this record together, they have left out all of the good stuff! All of the old 1920/1921 recordings, as well as the theme song and the beautiful music they use to score the show, are nowhere to be seen. On the show itself they use old recordings from Al Jolson, Nora Bayes, The Peerless Quartet, and lots more. For example, they used the 1920 recording of Japanese Sandman by Nora Bayes, which is way better then the two included on this record! Also, where is the Peter Mintun piano music?! That beautiful version of "Till the Clouds Roll By" that is playing when Van Alden"s wife gets her disappointing letter from him and Angela gets her money in the mail...That's Peter Mintun... along with all the other beautiful piano music throughout the show. And finally of course, the theme song is "Straight Up and Down" by The Brian Jonestown Massacre. Compared to most soundtracks, which give you everything from a show and more, this soundtrack is comparatively weak.

Wish I could buy just this one. I thought that was the great thing about iTunes, mp3's etc, you didn't have to buy an entire mediocre album to get one good song?
