Mr. Pessimist ,

Where did the Simple Red of old go?

After the "Stay" album of 2007 Simply Red completely changed his musical direction. The albums since Stay have more of the "soul" sound. This album is OK, but this is no Simply Red of old. This is not necessarily bad, however, I recently watched once of his recent concerts from this year and everyone in the audience were singing his older songs with him. Unfortunately, I doubt anyone is going to sing these songs, they are just not that memorable. To me this album has only two good songs. I guess "baggers can't be choosers".

I love this song

Classic Simply Red song, “Sweet Child”. I’m so happy for Mick Hucknall and this song shows how much he loves his little daughter. Beautiful song.
