Rolling Papers (Deluxe Version) Wiz Khalifa
EDITORS’ NOTES
Wiz Khalifa’s third album sees him transitioning with ease from stoner-next-door to bonafide rap star, largely thanks to “Black and Yellow,” a soaring, stadium-sized ode to his Pittsburgh hometown. Rolling Papers blends Khalifa’s perma-chill hippie rap with anthemic choruses: “Roll Up” and “No Sleep” are giddy synth-pop bangers that revel in carefree indulgence. He's got plenty of reason to celebrate, too: As he crows on the dreamily triumphant "Rooftops," “Used to not be allowed in the building, but now we on the rooftop.”
