In my top 3 Duran Duran albums

My top three Duran Duran albums are: RIO, BIG Thing, & Medazzaland. The album captures a band needing to redefine what it is they do: making great music. This album comes off as a bipolar mix of ballads and club tracks. It is what Duran Duran does BEST! They either get you to dance or think and either way it is wonder. Delightfully experimental and new. Songs were out of the norm then and freshly out of the no currently. Want a complete treat for your ears, check out the expanded edition.

The best post Roger and Andy album

While the album “Notorious” had some great tracks, “Big Thing” was overall the best of the post Roger, post Andy, post Arcadia and The Power Station albums. Every track on Big Thing is a winner in my book. Standouts especially are “Big Thing”, “I Don’t Want Your Love”, All She Wants”, “Too Late Marlene”, “Drug (It’s Just a State Of Mind).” I really like this album, (including the cover design) despite Roger and Andy’s absence. It’s a shame they weren’t a part of it.

One Star better than Liberty

Really bad stage for Duran and this sound so dated. The writing was not as good and again much too much dance music without substance. Too Late Marlene and Palimino are 2 nice tracks from this outing.
