Teri does it again

Le Butcherette’s at their best with some powerful production and songwriting. The most surprising aspect to me is the production. This is the best engineered/mixed and produced album they have put out to date by a huge margin. Props to the crew on this one. The drums punch, the guitars scream and Teri’s vocals are clear, focused and strong. Though I think this album lacks any super strong standout singles like their previous works, as a whole the album is really consistently strong rather than having the highs and lows of their previous albums. Definitely would recommend!

Strong Enough

Terri / Le Butcherettes become better song writers every album. Terri is the modern Marc Bolan...she finds melodies everywhere and makes it look easy. But the strength of this album is the "pet sounds" she has sprinkled throughout the songs. The production and mixing are supreme. It makes for an album that is very pleasant to listen to even when it is challenging you. Lyrically this album is less abstract that A Raw Youth, the themes stand out more. I would call this the most accessible Le Butcherettes album, but that's not a disappointment, it just seems more like a lure for their more challenging art rock.

Phenomenal

There’s not enough I can say. I stumbled across them after seeing their video for give/up on the tv at planet fitness of all places. This album is amazing. You have made a new fan of me. Feels like a new age version of my riot grrl bands from the 90s. Hands down my album of 2019. I’m obsessed. The structure and production on this album is so layered and meaningful.
