Between the Pines (Acoustic Mixtape)

Rappers aren’t the only ones dropping bomb mixtapes. Between the Pines is an “acoustic mixtape” that country star Sam Hunt created prior to his 2014 breakout album Montevallo. You can sense the hunger in his voice as he sings and plays with power on stripped-down versions of “House Party” and “Leave the Night On.” There are also his takes on the No. 1 singles he co-authored for Kenny Chesney (“Come Over”) and Keith Urban (“Cop Car”).
