Great Broadway type Show

This musical had its run on the London stage cut short due to poor ticket sales despite excellent reviews. I saw it whilst on vacation in London and enjoyed it immensely. It is akin to a British farce with music. Songs are catchy tunes maybe not to the standard of Lord Weber or Sondheim but never the less several stick in your mind and you suddenly start singing them. Of course the star of the show is Betty the pig and she sings at the end! Well worth downloading this album.

A Musical Theatre Gem

I've been eagerly awaiting the release of this album since my family saw the stage show in London this past summer. Many of the songs are so catchy you'll find yourself humming them after only one listening. A completely original score, this soundtrack is a nice change from the popularity of jukebox musicals (which I'll admit I enjoy as well). From the laugh-out-loud "Pig No Pig" to the hauntingly beautiful "Magic Fingers," from the bold and brassy "Nobody" to the bouncy and charming "Betty Blue Eyes," this soundtrack truly has it all. Listening to these songs again takes me right back to the show that I loved so much in London. Recorded live, the sound quality of this soundtrack is ever so slightly less crisp than a studio recording, but the joy of listening to these amazing performers live more than makes up for it. Highly recommended.
