12 Songs, 49 Minutes

EDITORS’ NOTES

SCC’s 17th studio album was inspired by the tragic accident that claimed the life of his young daughter Maria—but as the title attests, it’s more than a collection about sadness and grief. It’s a declaration of faith in God’s redemptive hand, and belief in the promise of heaven. The songs are appropriately reflective and, at times, devastating—though also hopeful and affirming. When you hear the man sing, “Joy is coming in the morning,” you’ll believe him.
