When covers are better than the original

Anthony Callea has always had an amazing voice, but in his third cover album (but something like sixth overall) to date, he has found the perfect blend of his golden pipes, amazing songs, and some original talent in the arrangements. There were a few songs I had never heard before and instantly loved, and the others I really enjoyed his more acoustic take. I think the only discordant note on the whole record is the title song, an original track that is more akin to his earlier works as an artist - heavier on beats and production values - when the softer, more acoustic touch would have probably been better. That said, it's really a great album that I thoroughly enjoyed, and honestly can't wait for him to put out another in a similar style.

Covers....hmmmm

I was a bit skeptical but now that I have bought this album.....it is GREAT! Anthony's voice is spot on with each song. In some instances, his arrangements are better than a few of the originals. These are classsics, so I am gld he did them his way reather than all being direct copies. Give it a listen.
