Folks, this is one of the few artists to raise the bar for great music.

With a little luck, and a lot of digging for something new, I found Origa; and WOW. For lack of my musical knowledge, I can only describe this album as incredibly beautiful with a rhythmic paradigm that takes my mind's eye into worlds far beyond. To break that thought down, Origa and her album Aurora, pull a post-modern theme from Japanese and Russian music. But, Origa grows those themes and adds in a global cultural flare from nearly every continent. This leaves the overall feel and sound of the album crisp with songs that can be linked in theme from one another, but each song also stands apart as their own upright work of art.
Fans of anime and Yoko Kanno will definitely enjoy this artist due in part to her work in Japan. However the reach of this album should be recommend to all open minded listeners of diverse music.
