12 Songs, 42 Minutes

EDITORS’ NOTES

Disciple’s latest lineup finds veteran singer Kevin Young joining forces with former members of Philmont (guitarist Josiah Prince), I Am Empire (guitarist Andrew Stanton), High Flight Society (bassist Jason Wilkes), and After Edmund (drummer Joey West) to create a veritable Christian rock supergroup. Attack applies this fresh aggregation of talent to songs equally compelling for their scripturally rooted content and musical ferocity. Fervently uncompromising faith runs through these tracks, delivered by Young with a sweat-soaked desperation. “I will not be afraid to speak Your name,” he roars out in “The Name,” one of numerous God-centered anthems found here. Fusing swagger with reverence, tunes like “Radical,” “Lion,” and “Crazy” challenge the Enemy with a warrior’s courage. Disciple back up Attack’s bold testimony with plenty of blistering guitar interplay and brutal yet deft rhythms. “Angels & Demons” bristles with hardcore fury, while “Yesterday Is Over” and “The Right Time” are heroic power ballads. Disciple renew their stature as one of Christian rock’s preeminent acts with this aggressively inspirational release.

This band never disappoints!

I thank God so much for this band, a band that is truly in love with God! Kevin is a strong pillar for the band, always ready, willing, and able to reach out to someone and tell them about the Love of Christ. And as for the rest of the band, they are always happy to interact with their "fan-mily," either at a show or on the band's page via Disciple Q&As. They are all true examples of what every Christian should be--they truly love God and they love others. All of this is testified to be true in their latest album, ATTACK. We are Christians, and we are all in the middle of many battles. What do you do in the midst of a battle? You ATTACK. "Radical" is a song that boldly proclaims the Name of Jesusand gets every Christian fired up and ready to face their own individual battle(s) with great courage. "Scarlet" is a reminder that even though our sins separated us and covered our lives in shame, He [God] has washed us with His redeeming love ("Though my sins, they be as scarlet/Though my hands have been the enemy of God"). All in all, you will want to own this album when it comes out...so why not pre-order now?

Another great Disciple rockfest!

Disciple has pioneered earth-shattering music with Christ-centered messages! They're so awesome! It amazes me how underrated they are. Get ready to ATTACK!

Amazing

Personal bias aside, I've listened to this a bunch all ready and I simply cannot find something I dislike about it. It is very balanced, and it flows nicely. Enough of the new and enough of the old. And for Kevin being the only founding member, there is amazing synergy on this record. Well worth the purchase! These guys are so underrated!
