Definitely worth the wait!

As a Patent Pending fan for 4 years now, I was ecstatic to finally get my hands on the new CD. It's been about 3 years since I saw them live for the first time, picked up their Save The Whales CD, and was instantly hooked. Since then I've gone to whichever of their shows I could get to, and the energy and excitement that the crowd always gives off every single time has made them one of my favorite bands to see live.

The new CD seems like a bit of a change in direction from their older stuff; there's a bit of synth thrown in which gives off a hint of "poppiness", but it completely works and enhances the songs by throwing a bit of variety in. Joe also steps in alot more on vocals, singing the majority of three of the songs. Although the CD sounds a bit different from the older one, the new additions are welcome changes and contribute to the band's uniqueness.

Overall, the new CD's great. Air Underneath My Feet and Therefore, I Party were my two personal favorites and I could definitely rely on them to pull me out of a bad mood. The only complaint I really have about the CD is that after 3 years we only got 8 new songs (plus the Everytime We Touch cover on their Myspace), but it's definitely worth picking up.

"Attack of the Awesome" is truely awesome. Although it may have a slightly different sound, its still the same great band that brought us "Save Each Other, the Whales Are Doing Fine". This album is a MUST buy for any Patent Pending fan!!!
