Wow! How I love this album! I still remember every song as if it was yesterday! Simple sweet melodies with memorable lyrics!

Great Then, Great Now

This album came out between Billy Joel's Turnstiles and The Stranger albums, and I bought all three on vinyl back in the fall of 1977. I always think of the three albums together, and they remain among my three favorites 37 years later. The lyrics are so poignant and beautiful, and melodies simple but memorable. Dean sings all of it with such conviction. He is a truly authentic artist and I'm glad he's still making music and performing. I had to finally buy this on iTunes. My vinyl is worn and I no longer have a turntable. The nostalgia when I play this album is palpable, and it amazes me that after all this time - having taken a decade-long break from listening to it - that I still remember every lyric and all of Dean's phrasing on each track LOL. A true winner. This is quality music.

I bought this on vinyl about a year ago. It's been my go to album for just great songs! I love this album! So much so I had to buy the Itunes version, just because I wanted it on my Iphone, and to support such a great artist.
