Songs like “Are You Gonna Go My Way,” “Fly Away,” “Let Love Rule,” “I Belong to You,” and the at-the-time previously unreleased “Again” got stuck in listeners’ brains and demanded replay. Kravitz’s retro-yet-futuristic pop-soul-funk gave the airwaves something new while retaining the flavor of favorite styles of yesteryear. People like to dance, and they like to rock, and they even enjoy larger-than-life figures who make the rock-star lifestyle look like mischievous fun, even if it really is hard, hard work. In terms of a soundtrack for the '90s, this Greatest Hits collection surely hits the mark.
