Pure pop, pure fun.

Annie is not revolutionary by any means. In frank terms, her record does not break any new musical ground and her voice does not exceed two or three octaves, but the bouncy cotton candy sweetness of her debut LP, "Anniemal" is enough to warrant its purchase. From the catchy "Chewing Gum," the infectiously sweet "Heartbeat," the disco jam "Greatest Hit," and even the sullen tribute to her deceased lover, "My Best Friend," the album is spilling over with immense heart and soul... and not a drop of cynicism to be found. A superb example of pop music and one of the best acts of 2005.

Annie is super unique. Her songs have this cool effect to them that you can't get anywhere else.

Must-have album for the year!!

You first heard this artist on Free Music Tuesdays, but her album is the best! It reminds you of funky pop 80's music! "Greatest Hit" is a good track whereas "My Best Friend" is nice and low-key. "Always too late" is a sleeper hit (in my opinion). "Chewing Gum" is the best. If you don't buy this album, then you are seriously missing out on a star on the rise. If you want more, listen the DJ Kicks album, " Flextone" and "Bongo Song" rocks! Hands down, my best purchase yet.
